The Quote

Lt Dan: Have you found Jesus yet, Gump?

Forrest: I didn't know I was supposed to be looking for him, Sir.

This is the center of the film. Forrest knew his relationship with God. i.e why look for that you already have. It's the rest of us that are fumbling about. We are the ones with The Problem, not Forrest. Lt. Dan knows this and that's why he thinks it's funny. And it's why he loves him.

Regardless, I thank you for the message.
Peace

don't forget the whole "casting out demons/speaking in tongues" three ring circus freakshow crap prevalent in some communities as well (in which those idiots wouldn't know what to do with a real demon if it crawled up their crotch and bit them on the balls ... LOL).

Hi Ron
It's sad to see Christians go off on a tangent without realising it, and so easy to do. I guess that's one reason why the church was designed to be one body, so we could kind of keep each other on track. I think sometimes communities of Christians get all gung-ho about something they think Jesus wants them to be doing and forget he just wants our hearts and everything else flows out of that. If we don't stay plugged into the vine, the fruit withers, drops off and rots.
Great post!
